IPhone 4S not playing videos?

When I try to play videos in safari, chrome… There's a little play button that has a diagonal line that crosses over the video not allowing me to play videos on sites. I did a power cycle, complete phone reset (I did not do a backup from iCloud or anything) erased all setting in safari and videos from any website will not play.
I have an iPhone 4S with the latest software update.

The iPhone is incapable of playing flash videos, other than those from YouTube. Should you wish to play such videos, you need to download an extra browser such as Photon or Puffin. Look them up in the app store.

  • Why isn't my iPhone playing videos? So I have an iPhone 5s. It's about a year old now, and all of the sudden it starts to crap out on me. This started yesterday, where it wasn't playing video content via Internet. It wasn't playing YouTube, Instagram, or tumblr videos. It even wasn't playing soundcloud audio. I don't know what else to do. I've tried deleting and re installing the apps, and disconnecting and reconnecting to the Internet, but none of that has worked. Any tips?
  • Why aren't YouTube videos playing on iPhone anymore? So up until a few days ago I've been able to play any YouTube video on my iPhone 4s as long as I was in "desktop version" for YouTube. I use YouTube's desktop version on my phone because a lot of times the mobile version does not support the videos I want to play.
