IPhone 4S screen not working but was making noises?

My iPhone 4S screen is not working; nothing has happened to it, (no water damage or anything) but I put it on standby (pressed the sleep button at the top, as I always do) and when I came to use it again, there was only a black screen. I thought it had only run out of charge as it was running low on battery before I put it in sleep, but I accidentally held the home button down while plugging it in, and heard Siri come up, so realised it had not run out of battery at all, but the screen was not working. I have tried to sort it out via my computer and tried to reset it to factory setting in iTunes, but I don't believe it worked (there was some error or another which meant it failed to reset it, or something) and I decided to try letting it run out of battery, but when I came back to it today (this all happened yesterday evening), there was no noise or anything on the screen. I have tried charging it, but there was no evidence of it turning back on (either visual or noise) so I think the sound may have gone too. If needs be, I will take it into an Apple store, but I will not be able to do this for at least a week.

You will most likely, need to take it to the Apple Store.

  • Why does my iPhone not make any noises? My iPhone does not play sounds through the speaker when I get the call. I also can't hear people when speaking to them in a call and it does not play music through the headset. How can I fix this?
  • My iPhone 5s got wet but it still working. But the touch screen is a bit slow. Is it safe to use? I dropped my phone in water but pulled it out immediately. I powered it down, dried it off, and let it sit for 30 or so minutes. At first the screen was red but then turned on and everything works. The touch sometimes is unresponsive. Is it safe to use my phone? I'm letting it air dry by a window because rice can cause erosion… Should I use it?
  • My iPhone 4 started randomly making beeping noises? I just was sitting in the car and my mom said, "What's that beeping noise?" I listened closely and couldn't make it out. Later we heard it and I put my ear up to my only working speaker. I heard it beeping. I saw the silent button the side of my phone was pulled to the left so you could see the orange mark. I pulled it forward and I thought I still could hear it… Help!
  • My car is making loud noises when I plug in IPhone to cassette adapter? So I have a cassette adapter and I used to play music on my iPad all the time, now I have an iPhone and I'm trying to play music with that but when I plug it in, my speakers start freaking out and sounds like I'm getting really bad static, is this cause of 4g or something? And is there a way to fix it?
