Iphone 5s from T-mobile or factory unlocked iphone?
I been trying to choose which iphone 5s to buy to use for metro pcs, but I ain't sure which one to get. I would get the factory unlocked but I don't if it would work with metro. Like would would I be able to use all the functions on it. Or would it be better to go with a t mobile iphone 5s? Is one better than the other? Besides being able to use any carrier on the unlocked iphone 5s.
Factory unlock because it nicer.
Since metroPCS is a CDMA carrier, you'd have to get it activated by them. Also they aren't an official iPhone carrier so whether or not they would is up to them. They were recently bought by T-Mobile though, & their plan is to eventually offer the iPhone on that network. As to when, not known.
Factory unlocked phones concern GSM networks, like T-Mobile for example.
- Will an unlocked iphone 4S work for tmobile if it isn't factory unlocked? I want to get an iPhone 4S and my friend has the iPhone 4 unlocked but i'm worried that if i get it non-factory unlocked it won't work. My uncle tried to do it a couple of months ago and apple said that if it was factory unlocked every time the phone shut off or died it would reset. I was just wondering if the same thing would happen if it wasn't factory unlocked? So if I get it unlocked everytime it will shut off it will reset? That is what i'm worried about.

- Why Iphone 4S won't read T-mobile Sim card even though factory unlocked? I have an iphone 4S and it reads Att sim card no problem, i had the phone factory unlocked and it even said Congratulations your iPhone is unlocked after i restored it in iTunes, but all it says is no service i tried two different T-Mobile sim cards. I even checked my imei number online and it said the phone was factory unlocked. Is there anything i can try, i've never ran across something like this.
