Iphone 6 won't play music via the car usb or aux or Bluetooth?

Added (1). My iphone 6 will not play music in my 2012 kia pro ceed via the usb, aux or Bluetooth? Really annoying any help much appreciated.

It should play via AUX-IN, using the headphone/earbud connection, if your radio has AUX-IN. Most radios see the device as an IPOD, and iPhone 5 / iOS 7 was marginally compatible, iPhone 6 / iOS 8 is incompatible with most APP radios. USB should see the device as an IPOD, Bluetooth may only see the device as a phone and may only work the hands free features but not the music.

The problem rests with Apple, not the device manufacturers because of iOS changes that made them not work in an iPhone 4 compatible mode.

You may need to work with BOTH Apple and the radio manufacturer Tech Support to find out how to make the phone work with your radio. I would start with Apple, to ensure they are aware of he problems and assist in getting drivers or other fixes to make their equipment work with more radios. If they don't get this fixed soon, the iPhone 7 will likely flop.

The user community can help remedy the situation, if they make their disapproval known, and don't blindly buy the next release just because it's out there and the latest tech gadget out there.

  • Which is better for music: usb, aux or bluetooth? I'm going to get an aftermarket car stereo for my car. I have an iphone 5 and i want to know which source has the best quality for the music.
  • Play music in car without aux I have an '03 Ford Taurus and I have no Tape player or Aux cable just a CD changer. What can I get to play music through my Iphone 4s for my car. Relatively cheap also please. I know about FM adapters but what's good, like with static wise etc.
  • Pandora won't play through car speakers via USB? I currently drive a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu LT and I usually play Pandora on my iPhone via the USB out which is included in the sound systems inside the Malibu models. For a while everything played perfectly, but not it does not. When I plug it in, my car recognizes that it is plugged in and the name of the Artist and song appear on the sound system like normal. However, it only plays through the speakers on my phone. What is the problem? Should I get a different connection other than USB?
  • My car head unit charges via USB but won't play music? I bought a Dual XDM260 head unit for my 2000 Chrysler LHS. When i plug my iPhone 5 in via USB it charges and the USB mode pops up then quickly changes to auxiliary. The manual says that the unit is capable of doing such a thing but for some reason won't. Is there anything I can do?
