Iphone got dropped in water?
My husbands iphone got dropped in water. He texted me earlier saying dropped my iphone in water and it survived. 1 hour later he called his moms house from his works phone saying his phone messed up. I don't know if he fried it or not. The screen won't shut off and its blank you can just see the back light is on making the screen navy blue. We put it in rice all day and nothing has happened yet. Is there anything else we can do? Were kinda broke and can't afford a new phone.
Put the phone in a bowl of dry white rice for 24 hours. You should have about a 1/2 inch of rice on the bottom of the bowl and about an inch on top. The rice will absorb the moisture. It worked for me. Hopefully it will save your phone as well.
I've seen this happen in a few of my own phones. I could turn back on over time. But most likely it's just completely water damaged. If it's just the screen then it's software that got messed up. I would suggest going to the local mall and check out one of those phone repair stalls. They work wonders
As I know electronic gadgets are very sensitive to every incident that happened with them. And water can destroy your phone because water is the enemy of the mobile phone. But however you can cure it by drying its all parts individually in the sun light.
Its most likely fried. If you want a new one you can sell that phone at gazelle.com I think it is and get money for it. Look at amazon for phones. If you find a new phone for cheap, go to best buy and show them the original website where you found it. They may price match it for you saving you money. (Gazelle.com will buy any phone broken or perfect)

Immediately switched it off, dried it and put it in a bag of rice. This was at about 6 p.m yesterday. This morning without turning it on I opened up the sim compartment to check the circle for water damage (checked online and apparently this is where to check for water damage). The indicator was white. It is back in the rice but I was wondering - when you think it will be ok to turn back on?

If i put in in the charge it'll just continuously vibrate and now for some crazy reason i can't even put the charger in. No matter how hard i try it just won't fit into the slot. The front camera is fogged up so I'm guessing my phone is done. I doubt apple will insure for it 2. Is there ANYTHING i can do?
