IPhone issues connecting to PC or Laptop?
I just found my old iPhone 3GS and it had a ton of photos on it 680+
thing is i don't have the original usb cable for it but I do have it from my Iphone 4s
well even tho i'm typing this via my PC when i plugged my iPhone in my laptop it did nothing with the first usb cable, didn't even make a sound or something, iTunes also didn't do anything
the second cable tho it just says incompatible device or something similar to that
I'm have no idea what is going on, if someone can help me it would be highly appriciated!
You can get cheaper usb cables online that are compatible for iPhones. Since the usb cable you're using is not an original, expect your iPhone 3GS to reject it from time to time. Try plugging it in and out a few times more and just be patient about it. I assure you that it would work at least once every 10 or 20 tries.
A bit of computer info would help.
- Will connecting my iPhone to new laptop delete everything? I just got a new laptop and want to connect my iPhone with it instead of my brothers one which I had been using. All the music on my iPhone is pretty old anyway so I wouldn't mind if that got deleted and I had to start again with music, but will things like contacts and photos and everything else be deleted too?
- My iPhone isn't connecting with my laptop? I have an iPhone 4s and an iPad and a Toshiba laptop. Whenever I plug my iPad into my laptop using a USB cable my iPad connects to my laptop/iTunes and my iPad starts charging. However, whenever I use the same USB cable to connect my iPhone, nothing happens. My iPhone doesn't start charging and nothing appears on my laptop. Why is this? Is there a setting on my phone I need to change? Any help appreciated.
- Iphone not connecting to laptop? My iphone 5, as already stated, won't connect to my laptop. I've never had any trouble until now. It still charges when I plug it into my laptop but nothing else. My laptop doesn't even acknowledge it lol I really need to sync my phone tonight. Please someone give me insight!
- Iphone 5 problems when connecting to my laptop? When I connect my Iphone to my laptop using the cable it comes with, it charges and makes a noise and when I press 'trust this computer' it doesn't appear on my laptop. I need this to transfer my pictures onto it. Also, it says it can't open in iTunes because the iTunes on my laptop is an old version, what should I do to hopefully solve both problems?
