IPhone sends as text messages to other people?

I have iOS 7 and updated to the newest beta. When I send a message to someone who has an iphone it sends as a text. But when they send a text back it shows up as imessage and i can use imessage from there. Also when I send pictures it sends as texts, not imessage. What can I do to fix this?

Can she change the settings so it won't come up as a picture?

The group has both Android users and iPhone users. I'm an iPhone user. Does this mean that I will receive everyone else s messages like an iMessage group, or will all messages go directly between the conversation starter and whoever is messaging him, without any of the other group members seeing what the other members said?
  • My iPhone 4 receives and sends text messages but can't send or receive photos? Barely bought a new iPhone 4, put my sim card into it and the iphone won't let me receive or send picture texts. I can send message texts and receive them, but not picture ones. It keeps giving me an error (red exclamation point) on by my picture. Tried all your suggestions. Still doesn't work and yes I can attach to emails and stuff but just can't text photos.

I want to send a text for someone to wake up to in the morning although if I send it now I think she'll still be awake whereas I don't want to sleep in tomorrow so its too late. Can I set it to send a message at about 4am? Or shall I just set my alarm to wake me up to send it?
