IPhone storage space doesn't add up?
So my iPhone has a total of about 5.4GB space to use. My phone says I have no space left 0MB. So obviously I deleted an app which used up 167MB. I delete this app and then refresh and it says 24MB available. So I'm thinking okay, its probably just taking time to clear up the space if i keep on refreshing it will show it all eventually, right? As i keep refreshing I notice the space is getting smaller and smaller like 24MB then 15MB, 6.4MB and the 0MB and it's all gone!
This has been happening for the whole of December now. I've deleted about 600 photos, a few long videos, all my apps (I only have Snapchat and Instagram left?!). Everytime it shows that I have cleared out the space just like normal but it never gives me my space. If something like this has happened to you please say what you did. Thanks xx 
Make sure you cleared out the recycle area also, videos take up a HUGE amount of space, and all your pics are probably in the recycle area too so clear it. Then if it still doesn't show turn it off and back on.
Check the Recently Deleted album in the Photos app. Deleting pics & vids from the Camera Roll put them there for 30 days, but in the meantime they are still taking up the space.
You could also reinstall apps that don't rely on the phone's memory to save their data, example Facebook (which usually is one of the culprits of cache data collection).
- Why is my iPhone storage space used so high? I have a 16GB iPhone 4s. I have no songs or videos on it. I have about 32 apps and 500 pictures. My storage space used is at 13.2 GB. Why is that so high? That is almost all of my available data? How can I bring this down? I have a friend with the same phone, same number of pictures and about the same number of apps (maybe a few less) and his storage is only about 4GB used.
