Iphone text message to non iphone?

I just sent a friend two text messages from my iPhone. One was green and one was blue. If she does not have an iPhone, can she receive the blue one?

Blue messages are iMessages and can only be sent to other iPhones. Green texts are text messages and can be sent to both iPhones, and other devices. But to answer your question, no she can't

  • Will my message be delivered if sent as text message on iphone? My friend said that she was having phone problems earlier today. My message was being sent as an imessage, but I guess she wasn't receiving everyone of them, just getting the notifications that they were sent to her but she couldn't read them. I then responded to her, but it was sent as a text message this time and i have gotten no response. I'm not as much concerned about her responding or not, I just want to know if she will receive the message.
  • Why won't my 5c send a message as MMS when it's a long message to a non iPhone user? Whenever I type a LONG message to an SMS user (says Text Message in the messaging "box") my 5c won't convert to MMS and the recipient gets the message in dozens of out of order messages instead of the whole fluid message. I have MMS on in Settings. What can I do and why is it doing this?
  • Why won't Iphone 6 ios 8.4 won't deliver text to non iphone user? My iphone 6 (ios 8.4) won't deliver texts to someone who isn't on an iphone. I have tried powering off, rebooting, resetting network settings, turning off imessage and more but i still can't send her messages. However I can still receive all messages from her for some reason?
  • Why could i have gotten a text message with no text box? Yesterday morning, I looked at my smart phone ( android) and I got a text from someone. I clicked on the contact's text and there was no message, no blank bubble, nothing. It just looked like one of us was getting ready to start a conversation but no message was sent. (Extra info: I may be wrong but I think this certain contact has an iphone.) What could cause this? I don't want to ask the person because it would be extremely awkward.
