IPhone update taking too long?

I had to upgrade from iPhone 4S to iPhone 5 today (smashed phone). I had to update iTunes before I could connect, which took SEVERAL attempts before it actually worked & now I'm trying to update the phone software from 6.0 to 6.0.1 (bug fixes & Apple Maps is apparently better).

Anyway, at first the status bar said 40 minutes to complete, then 43 minutes to complete, then 47 minutes to complete… Then it sat at 47 minutes to complete for about an hour & then dropped to 44 minutes to complete where it has been sitting for another hour.

WTF is going on? Is there a fix? Can I just unplug the phone without losing data?

if it's an iPhone 5 it's practically recommended when you buy it.

Not sure if you can unplug phone w/o losing data. I think you can. Just let it sit overnight and it will probably finish.

  • Why would my speaker on my iPhone start cracking an I can barely hear who I'm taking too? I have an iPhone 5s an my speaker while talking to someone is all of a sudden started cracking an the person talking I can barely hear. The phone hasn't been around water or anything like that An I have only had it for two weeks. What could cause this?

  • Videos taking up too much space on my iphone? I have all these precious videos of my son but my iPhone memory is so full now I can't even take a picture. I have tried emailing these videos to myself so I could have them on my computer but it won't let you and I don't have a Mac computer. Any suggestions on how to save these videos and free up space on my phone? I would like to put them on a cd but can't do that if I can't get them on my computer

I'm practically out of memory (i know its only an 8g) but it all has been lost to "other". .11 gb in music.57gb in photos 1.82 gb in apps and a whopping 2.2gb in other How do i get rid of the other? I got it directly from my AT&T dealer
