IPhone won't send iMessages?

Recently we had an electrical probably at my house so for a few minutes while I was texting iPhone users, I had to send some texts via SMS to get them to go through. Afterwards though after everything was all fixed, my phone still will not send iMessages to this one number, that, yes, I'm 100% sure is an iPhone user. My phone is sending iMessages perfectly fine to all of my other contacts with iPhones, it's just this one number that I had to send SMS texts once. I have tried everything from switching the contact phone number to and iPhone number and back several times, I've turned and turned off the iMessage settings in messages, I've reset my phone while doing all these things, I've tried deleting the messages and starting new messages, and I've tried completely deleting the contact and just typing in the number. None of these things have worked! I'm so frustrated and please any suggestions will help.

  • Why won't my iPhone send iMessages? I have an iPhone 4S and my friend has the 5. She kept the same sim, so when she got her 5, the old messages from her blackberry weren't deleted. But now, our messages aren't sent through iMessage and its really annoying. Any ideas how this could be put right? All my other friends that I message are sent on iMessage, just not her.
  • Why won't my iPhone send iMessages to other iPhones? I can use iMessage on my iphone4 with no problems at all to iPods, but not to my partners iphone4, it always defaults to SMS. Its frustrating, because we live in an area with poor mobile coverage, so if I need to message him urgently, iMessage in theory should be the best way of doing it.   • Why won't my iPhone 6s Plus send iMessages and gets no notifications for messages? IMessage and notifications are on but it's still broken. I tried resetting my phone like its brand new and updated my phone and pretty much everything else and still nothing. Any ideas? It stopped working about two days ago
