Iphone won't swipe to unlock?

I left my phone unattended for a few minutes last night and now out of the blue, it's not working. The screen isn't responding to touch. I can't swipe to unlock or enter my pass word or anything. Is there anything I can do apart from restarting it? (I've already tried that)

Mine does this! Press the lock button then try again this usually works for me if not turn it off (if the swipe will let you) f this fails wait for the battery to drain

I say it's stuck. Happens to my touch phone too sometimes.

How long does it take to get better?

Put it into recovery mode then out it works for me

I'm having the same problem. I figure I will have to take the phone back to the company I purchased it from. It is brand new!

My phone wouldn't swipe to access it or to let me turn it off and reboot. I just saw someone's great advice, which was to press the home button and the on/off button simultaneously. It worked! So, thanks to whoever posted that advice.

Pressed home button and on/off and it took a photo but didn't unlock. It's Halloween. Perhaps it's haunted.

I'm gan mad did a reset on iPhone 5 and now I can't get on anything just comes up all different languages and click on my bt internet then says sumthing about server

Yes! It worked for me too! At first I tried and nothing happened… Then I held both of them for at least 30 seconds or more and then it worked! Yes!

If i hold down the on/off and home button will it reset my phone and delete everything?

Pressing the Home and On/Off/Lock button simultaneously does work! Thanks! (I had to hold the keys for at least 10-15 seconds before it worked.)

I phone 6 will not swipe I tried to unlock it as well but only the buttons 1 and 2 work. The rest are inop. Any ideas? I pressed the home button down along with the other buttons at the same time and no luck. Also I let the battery completely drain as well

Just had a similar situation on my wifes XS. Holding the volume down and power buttons on for a few seconds gave me the option to power down. Login swipe worked again on power up.
