Is 16gb a lot of memory/storage?

I'm thinking about getting an iPhone, and I was just wondering if 16GB is a lot of storage/memory or not.

Well yes it is a lot, for example i have a 32GB sd card in my phone, and have 1, 268 music videos, around 5000 pics, plus loads of music truetones etc and i've used just over 5GB if that gives you some idea. I should of added, plus i've around a 1000 other videos as well.

Well it all deped what you do with it. Most apps are around 5mb to around 100mb for some games. If you get any movies, those usually take 2gb and most music from iTunes take about 75mb space for a 5 minute song. Videos from the camera take about 50mb space for every minute or so. And the iOS itself uses about 4 gb so you'll only get about 12gb for your apps and stuff.

That's probably because the apps that were on the phone like camera take up the rest of the GB

It depends what your using it for I have a 16gb and I use it for photos, games, texting, and calling

  • My new 16gb iPhone 5s' storage doesn't equal 16gb? I bought a 16GB iPhone 5s and when i go to Settings > General > Usage, it says i used 2.3 GB and i have 10.6 GB available. And that would equal 12.9 GB. Shouldn't it equal 16GB?
  • My iPhone says that my Notes is taking up 1.79 GB of storage. I only have 3 notes, and there isn't a lot of text in them. How do I fix this? Recently there were a lot of notes on my phone, but I deleted most of them until there were only three notes left. However, my phone still says my Notes takes up 1.79 GB. I tried writing a really lengthy note to see if the GB would go higher, but it didn't change. I don't want to delete my three remaining notes, which have very little text in them. I doubt that these notes are taking up 1.79 GB. What is the problem here, and how do I fix it?
  • Is the iPhone 4s 16gb enough memory? I would hold about 300 songs or more? for games, i'd have maybe 20 or more if i could find some good ones. for pictures, i take a lot of pictures, but i'd end up putting the majority of them on my facebook so it wouldn't really matter if i had to delete them on my phone. for videos, i wouldn't take a lot of videos, but if i did they'd go on facebook, so it wouldn't really matter. is the 16gb enough?
  • Is 16GB memory enough on an iPhone 5? Ok, it's about the space. Is 16GB enough for what I need? I won't have a lot of music, probably only up to 200 songs but I will probably take quite a few pictures and download a few apps. Will 16GB be a practical amount of space for what I need or have you found (if you own an iPhone) that 16GB is not enough space?
