Is 8gb enough memory for an iphone 4? - 2

My family is switching to a different company and my mom says I have to get an iphone 4 or Samsung galaxy s2. I really want an iphone 5 but my mom says its to expensive. The reason I want an iphone is because I have ALOT of iTunes gift cards from my previous ipod that broke I haven't used. Anyways I would have to get an 8gb one is that enough? I would have maybye 150 or a little more songs and I would have maybye 25 apps, I will also call and text a lot. Is this enough space for me?

This is more than enough space… I make do with 8Gb and I have over 300 songs and many many other stupid things… But remember you can also get a micro SD card(if iPhone supports it, not really sure)… Hope this helps… I'd personally go for the iPhone.

8GB used to be enough when it came out in 2007. Apps were small enough.

However if you look at current games like Inifity Blade 2 (1.10GB) and Real Racing 3 (768mb), they're already taken up 16% of your available space (because an iPhone 4 8GB really only has 6.4GB of free space, that doesn't leave a lot for movies (700mb) and music (200mb for a very small collection).

But honestly, 8GB is fine for me, I just delete what is old and put in what is new.

Making calls and texting requires little to no space on your iPhone 4.

You should be OK with an 8GB phone (if you delete old apps, movies, and songs and replace them with new ones regularly).

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S2 is much faster and has a 32gb expandable SD Card slot. You should sell your iTunes card for $140 and buy a 32GB micro SD card for $20 at a computer store like Best Buy or Amazon. You will have 4 times as much storage.

To give you an idea how much 32gb of storage will hold is:
-32 full size movies (48 hrs of movies)
-10, 000 songs (500 hrs of music)

Let me know if I helped cleared things up for you bro.

  • What do I do when I run out of memory on my iPhone 4 8GB? I have about 20 or 25 apps… 260 songs. That's about it and I only have 2GB left. I add like 10 songs a month but if I keep it up I will soon run out of memory. Will I have to buy a 16GB iPhone 4 and sell my 8GB or is there some way I can get more memory installed?
  • My iphone 4 8gb memory is filled up? I have about 200 pictures, 0 music, 20 apps that barely take up space. How in the world is my 8gb filled up? Is it because of iCloud? I need to know because this is freaken bullcrap.
  • Just traded my iphone 4 16gb for ps vita 3G with 8gb memory card? I also threw in 4 ps3 games 1 xbox 360 game a pc game and an ipod touch 2g 8gb which is uselesd but Is that a good thing? Who got the better end of the deal?
  • Is 8gb memory enough for an Iphone? Looking to get a new phone. Don't want anything too expensive so going for an Iphone 4s, but I can only find 8gb models. Considering I'm never going to have music on it, is 8gb enough for a few apps, games, data etc?
