Is iCloud required on an iPhone? - 1
Probably not, but its extremely recommended.
ICloud is where all your data is stored SAFELY lol
Nope
No it's not required. It can be useful, but you aren't forced to use it.
If you later change your mind, you can always sign in the Settings app.
Required, no, but it is free, so why not? I have it for our entire Apple product house (iPhones, iPads, computers, etc.) and the only thing we do with it is use it for registering products and for the "Find my" function. Doesn't cost anything and is a bit of extra security.
- Why does my iphone randomly say activation required? So the other day I was just using my iPhone 4 running IOS 6 beta and I had shut down my iPhone completely for about 2 hours and then when i turned it back on, it said "activation required and it wants me to connect to Wi-Fi to connect to apples activation servers. It will not let me get to my home screen and everytime I try to activate it it tells me to try again later. BTW, it also says no service at the top of my iPhone. And this has also happened to my iPad.
- Update required to sync ical to iphone? I have not updated my MacBook to iOS x.iTunes used to be able to sync my iCal calendars to my iPhone. With the latest version of iTunes, it seems as though the sync happens between calendars on my phone and iCloud -- not iCal. Is it necessary to upgrade now to allow the sync?
