Public Wi-Fi Hotspots are a hackers dream come true.
They just sit in a corner and packet sniff everyones device that is not using encryption to surf the internet.
Then if you log into any account using passwords they got you.
Then people come here wondering how their accounts got hacked.
The apps you download themselves are safe, but if you don't use something like a VPN in a hot spot then you're info is up for grabs. Also the Hotspot itself can track your info unless you encrypt.
