No put i'd gladly take it if you don't want it.
It doesn't do anything to the phone it basically just sits there until you are ready to open it or do something with it. You could keep it unopened for a year and nothing would go wrong with it.
It will sit unused until it is used. Does not rot, spoil or decay in any way during those 2 weeks. Kinda like all the phones that get shipped and spend time in warehouses before getting reshipped to stores and sit on shelves or in store rooms until sold to the public.
No, you don't want to leave it sit a long time with battery at 0%, but 2 weeks is nothing, the batter will still be strong even at that time. I just bought a new iphone and the battery was at 68% and that stuff has typically been in inventory for a very long time getting shipped, stacked, etc.
