Is it ever a good idea to buy an iphone without a contract? - 1

IPhones are probably actually one of the worst phones out there, people just feel pee pressured into buying one.

Get a contract. Get everything needed for an iPhone. There are so many Apple scammers around.

If you can't afford a contract, you probably should buy a less expensive phone, unless you can get a good deal.

Yes many do, I like the contract though.

I've always done it that way. It is the more expensive way though.

Yes.

It's never a good idea to buy an iPhone period.

I have an iPhone 5s that I bought outright from Verizon and have it on prepaid. $45 a month and 2GB of data, unliimited talk and text. Love it!

No it just means it's unlocked

In the short term it would be expensive because you would be buying the phone upfront and outright. With a contract the cost is spread over the time of the contract, along with minutes, texts, and data. But a contract can be more expensive in the long run. So you could buy a refurbished phone from a reputable dealer and get a sim only deal.

  • What do you do with a good iPhone app idea but no money? I thought of a brilliant iPhone app idea. This idea is potentially worth millions (Of course it would be a big project to get started). The problem is that I have no money to hire programmers, and I definitely can't make it by myself. Any advice?
  • Is this a good idea for a cheap way to get the iPhone 5? I just thought of this idea. I currently have an iPhone 4 and I want an iPhone 5. There are no upgrades until May and I can't take that one. Is a good idea to add a new line for 10 dollars, Cancel my other line for 175$, add data for 35$ and then buying the iPhone for 200$. That will equal a little over 400$ and then selling my phone for 150$.So all I really have to pay is around 250$. Do you think this will work or will it mess up my family's account plan. Any suggestions?
  • Is Jailbreaking my IPhone 4S a good idea or not? I use lots of apps, especially games for me and my lad. In simple terms can someone give me pros and cons of jailbreaking it, and their overall view **disclaimer** Jailbreaking an IPhone is perfectly legal Slows down the iphone drains battery alot faster ---… Is that because of the extra apps, or does the actual jailbreak do these?
  • Is it better to buy a iphone with a contract or without a contract? Because with a contract you have to pay monthly fees $60 - $100 and without a contract you pay more for the phone without the monthly fees
