Is it possible to but dial someone with an iPhone?

I mean I'm sure it's possible but like once a week couple times a month. It's my sister in law's husband, I usually let it ring and go to voicemail but voicemails are never left. I told my husband they called and he said but dial. But the iPhone's usually shut off don't they and likely you have to scroll through contacts to choose I would think I've never but dialed with mine. So is that likely?

If you tilt it the right way, Siri activates, and might interpret random sounds as an instruction to call someone.

Its probably possible and depends what kind of phone you have

As long as the phone has power, any cellphone or smartphone, while on can pocket dial, especially if you have one touch emergency calls feature on, while the screen is locked. One of the first things I turn off on all my phones, and have for years.

Haven't you heard?

An iPhone can do anything!

(At the very least, Apple would like us to believe that.)

It's very unlikely if the phone is on standby, and impossible if the phone is turned off. Even if the phone is on and active, you'd need a remarkably agile but to press the screen in the right spots in the right sequence to make a call.

In my opinion and not stirring something up here but seems like i will end there seems deliberate to me. I mean the frequency of this dial seem inappropriate not to mention how many other people are getting but dialed. If i would get frequent calls from someone like that i would think they are in pursuit of something. Moreso, I would not want to sit on my iphone, sure it is strong and all but there's always a chance something could happen. Something is up! Lol.
