Is it possible to transfer music from an iPhone/iPod onto iTunes?
I can't be bothered to install cd's and such all over again so I wanted to check if anyone knows whether it's possible to transfer the music directly from an iPhone or an iPod onto iTunes? I don't want to download anything for it though… I have a MacBook Pro, if that's something that has to be said, haha I'm not that good with all this technical stuff.
Yes, you can sync your iPhone with iTunes on your computer and it will transfer your music onto it. Or you can just download the songs from iTunes through iCloud and you won't be charged anything. You have to go to the purchased section in the iTunes Store on your computer.
Yes, it's possible. If you purchased all of the songs through itunes store, please follow these steps:
1. Open up Itunes and Click on Itunes Store
2. Once you're in the Itunes Store look to right side of the screen and you should see the word "purchased". Click purchased and you'll be sent to a purchase screen.
3. Click on "All Songs" and then it will show all the songs you've downloaded. From there you just hit the button that looks like a cloud with an arrow on it, and it will download all the songs all over again.
ITunes will only let you import the tracks purchased from iTunes Store. The other music will get stuck on your device. There are some apps that will transfer everything though. I've used iExplorer 3 by macroplant before which totally restored my entire iTunes Library from my iPhone. It transferred everything.

I think my iPod is the first generation and my iPhone is the 4s. I have about 200+ songs that I'd like to transfer. Help please? - Is it possible to put music from my iPhone onto my new computer? So basically my computer that I had used for iTunes with all of my music on it broke and I got a new one this past Christmas. I want to take pretty much my whole library on my iPhone 4S into the iTunes library on my new computer. Is there a way to do this or am I going to have to be re-downloading all of my music again? Thanks! PS, my phone and iTunes are all updated to the most up-to-date versions.
