For all iPhones, it is important to see if the charger cables are compatible with your phone. I like to make sure the cables have a high rating if I'm ordering them online or checking the back of the box in stores. The best possible choice would be the one that comes in the box or one from an Apple store, but there are other cheaper options that might not work as well.
Not a big issue if the quality of the wire is good.
