Is the camera on the iPhone 4s any good?

I'm getting it to replace my old phone, ipod and nike+ running watch, but I'm hoping it can replace my rubbish digital camera too? So is the camera good?

. I'm sure the later models and other phones are better but this is the one I'm getting so don't suggest others.

It's an excellent camera, considering that the camera function is just incidental to the phone's other functions. It's not as nice as more recent models of the iPhone, of course. And how it compares to a dedicated compact digital camera depends on which camera you compare it to. Keep in mind that iPhones are expensive, so they can afford to include a pretty good camera, which may be superior to a cheap compact camera but isn't likely to match a good compact camera (and certainly will be no match for a DSLR).

Yes. I got a iPod touch 5 and it has basically the same camera but a little worse, and it still makes good picture.

I had an iPhone 4, had no complaints concerning its camera & the 4s' is an improvement on that, so I expect much the same.
