Is the Iphone a good phone to own?
Next year I 'am getting a upgrade for my phone @ Verizon Wireless and I have always wanted to get an Iphone but I want to know a rating between 1-10, I also want to know the camera/video features for my youtube account and my photograph class. (my video question is does it have the pause feature during recording and switching front to back while recording a video?)

The iPhone is the best. I absolutely love it because it is very organized and very simple to use. It has a lot of features that other phones don't have because the iPhone, in my opinion, is the "main" phone right now. The camera is great. Unfortunately, you can't pause in a video. If you can I haven't figured out how. Nonetheless, I would give the iPhone a 8 or 9 out of 10.

I think the answers here might be biased. I use an iPhone but I always recommend people to give themselves the opportunity to try the phones for themselves.
Personally I'd give it a 9 out of 10. For the fact that I've used every iteration for the last 5 years (3G, 3Gs, 4, 4S, 5, 5s) and it has given me little to no problems upgrading. Before you start saying oh what a fanboy, consider that I've also used Blackberry Bold as well as Samsung Galaxy SGS3 concurrently with the iPhone.
No, unfortunately there's no pause functionality for video recording on the iPhone. The paid app iMovie or a couple of apps on the store might be able to do the job you need.
