Added (3). I've already tried to squeeze the edges but the top around the power button is broken and this makes the button loose so that method didn't work, i've also cleaned it with the air thingy

Here are the steps to turn of your phone:
1.Wait until the device runs out of battery power ad it will turn off on it's own. This is perhaps one of the easiest methods to turn it off, although it may require you to wait a couple of days or hours.
2. If you have warranty, take it to the apple retail store and they will fix it
3. Squeeze the edges of your iPhone near the top of the device, just below the power button. Press the power button at the same time. This method may force the internal switch to make just enough contact to allow you to power your phone off.
- If you hold the home & power button when your home button doesn't work. It is just holding the home button so nothing happens.
EDIT: The best thing to do is just let it die. I'm sorry. I wish I could help. If you want to restart it just restore it I guess.
- My iPhone 5s has been dead for over a year is there any way to turn it back on? I've tried pressing all the buttons down for a couple seconds and the hairdryer trick, but they didn't work. I want to use my iPhone 5s for storing pictures and music because I'm already running out of space on my iPhone 6s. I don't want to spend money going to the Apple Store to get it fixed. Is there anything I can do to turn it back on? Nothing comes up it's just a black screen.
