Itunes 11.0.5 won't detect my iPhone 3G?

So I installed the latest version of
itunes, itunes 11.0.55 recently. I'm
stuck on the recovery itunes logo on
my phone and I decided to do a
restore, on plugging it to itunes
nothing happens, I couldn't find my
iPhone in the devices tab in iTunes. I
tried changing cables to my iPod
classic, didn't work, I tried re-installing
itunes and all other apple products,
didn't work, I tried plugging it to
another computer's iTunes, didn't
work. I've restarted my computer more
than ten times now. I also noticed that
my iPhone 3G had some flow of
electricity characterised by the phone
shocking me every time I touch the
metal parts so that rules out the
possibility of it been my phone's
connectors. Another thing I've noticed,
my iPod classic was always detected
every time so its definitely itunes.Do
you think I should downgrade back to a
previous version of itunes?

My brother put a pin on the phone as a prank and now we don't remember what it is. I can unlock it if i connect it to itunes but no computer detects the phone. I tried different cables and multiple computers. What's weird is that if the iphone is off and i connect it to a pc it turns on. What can i do?

  • My iPhone won't detect home Wi-Fi? My iphone only detects my home Wi-Fi when its right next to the router! If i move 5m away or into another room, BAM. Goes back to 3G. This is really annoying. I have tried to forget the network and reset all network settings. They don't solve the problem. Any suggestions or information would help greatly.
  • My iphone won't detect Wi-Fi anymore? All of a sudden my iphone won't pick up Wi-Fi! I dropped it, and it seems that around that time it stopped working, is that the answer? I've tried to reset network settings, turning on airplane mode, etc. But nothing will work. I really don't want to restore it, that is a huge pain.
