ITunes won't update iOS 6
I want to update my iPhone from iOS 5 to the latest iOS, so I clicked the update software button on my iPhone and it got into the update screen and now it's asking to connect to iTunes, but as I connect to iTunes, it says: "iTunes could not contact the iPhone software update server because you are not connected to the internet". My internet is working fine but it won't connect. Somebody, please help me.
Added (1). I forget to mention this, but my iPhone is using iOS 5 jailbreak and I don't feel the need to use jailbreak anymore, so I want to upgrade it.
Added (2). To SuperLeJay, That is the problem.iTunes won't even detect my iPhone as device, so I can' restore it.
Jailbreaking your iPhone is a absurd thing to do.
You should restore your iPhone, this will make it go to the regular IOS
and it'll be updated to the current IOS.
Make sure to back up your info first, if you need to.
- Update stopped during ios update own iphone now phones broke I connected my iPhone 4 to my computer (iTunes) and started doing the update through iTunes. About five minutes into the update iTunes in my computer stops working, causing the update to of course stop working. Now my phone will not turn on. On the screen it is black with the 'charge symbol' as if it were low on battery and an iTunes symbol. I have tried turning my phone off and on, but of course it didn't respond.
