Someone messaged me their location?
Someone named "Maybe: Brooke" sent me a text message on my iphone and said it's Brooke and then she gave me her location which was 20 hours away from my location. I reported the message to junk and turned off "contacts found in apps" in settings on my iPhone. Why would someone give me their location and how does a random person get my number? I'm just worried that something bad might happen because she gave me her location. Her number was not in my contacts I don't know this person
Not sure why you did it that way. Clearly she texted the wrong number, just like a wrong number phone call. You should have just texted back wrong number so she wouldn't be waiting for someone.
She may have mis-typed the number, or someone else had the number some time before you did. It's not that big of a deal, so nothing to get worried about. You have to remember, if you have not had the same number for over 20+ years, several people will have had it before you. And even if you have had that number for a long time, the person that had it before, had friends and family that may still have the number as their last contact number. People move, people die, have reunions, etc, and try to get in touch with old friend and family they were not close to, and that is how many of those unknown numbers show up, that or from bill collectors trying to get the dead beat that had the number before you did.
- Why do poor people care more about their image and buying nice clothes than feeding their family or paying bills? I see tons of poor people who make less than 20k a year spending their entire income on nice clothes and shoes and purses and makeup. Their children are starving they can't even afford to use the air conditioner or pay for electricity but they absolutely need to buy a new iPhone or a new pair of high heels
- Tech geniuses. Is there a way to fake your iPhone s location? *specifically on find my friends /location services*? Wondering if anyone can help me either 1) freeze my iPhones location at a specific spot or 2) completely fake the location (without jailbreaking my phone) I'm required to share my location at all times to my parents and need a night a feeedom.
- Is there anyway to spoof your location on life 360 or change your gps location on an iPhone? I've tired just about everything to not be tracked on Life360 and it will notify if you turn it on airplane mode or turn off your location settings. Also can't delete the app need help. Or is there anyway to change your gps location in an iPhone without jailbreaking it?
- I sent a text message to someone who has their phone off right now. Will they see it when they turn their phone on? We both have iPhones so I sent it on iMessage but sent it as a text message after since the message didn't say delivered. Will they still see it when their phone is on?
