Mixed signals from social networking apps?

I have three of the gay social networking apps on my iPhone: Growlr, Scruff and Jack'd.

I was never one for hook ups, but I'm not looking for a long-term boyfriend (I had one for about a year and a half) so I'm considering maybe trying them out. 100% safe of course.

I have an attraction to older men and there was a bear on Growlr who contacted me for friendly chat and we've been talking for about 3 days. His profile is sending some mixed things. It says that he is looking for "friends, conversation, bears, cubs, chasers, etc., that he is in a relationship (it does not say open relationship) and his "about" section says that he is an average bear, looking for friends, that his partner and him have been together for 30 years and that he is a top.

If he is looking for "friends", why would be specify that he is a top? Is his partner in on this? Is he trying to cheat on his partner? I think he is attractive, and I'm not opposed to perhaps messing around, but I don't want to be the "homewrecker"

By the way, he's 52. I'm 21.

  • When Android user sends text to a mixed group of iPhone and Android users? A family member who is an Android user sent a text message to a large group of recipients, including me. The group has both Android users and iPhone users. I'm an iPhone user. Does this mean that I will receive everyone else s messages like an iMessage group, or will all messages go directly between the conversation starter and whoever is messaging him, without any of the other group members seeing what the other members said?
  • What are some unique social networking iPhone apps? I'm not talking about Facebook, or KIK, or Instagram. I've found some other unique apps that I think are great like Whisper: You pretty much post a secret of yours and random people will respond or like it. Thumb: Post a picture with a question and random people will answer and give you feedback. Crossfader: Somewhat of a social app, you make playlists and share with others and listen to others' playlists. Anyone know any unique ones?
  • Software for business networking? Is there some sort of software that allows me to make a spider web chart of everyone I know? I want to be able to draw lines between people showing how they're connected and click on each person to see basic information on who they are, what they do, and their contact information. Thanks! P.S. To get an idea of what the ideal program or application would look like, check out the iPhone app called "Discovr Apps". Well-done GUI.
  • Social networking apps for iPad/iPhone? Does anyone know of any kind of Social Networking apps for the iPad or iPhone? I have Twitter, Instagram and Facebook on here, but nothing else. I get really bored and need something to do? Even if it isn't a Social Networking app, anything that will keep me from being so bored?
