My Apple TV has problems playing music from my devices?

I have the 3rd. Generation Apple TV and everything works fine till I play music from my devices. It keeps cutting out. Really disappointing. When I play music directly for the Apple TV, it works great, but not from the ipad, iPhone, or MacBook. Has anyone had this problem? Is there a solution?

I don't have any Apple products. My music plays just fine from all of my devices. Did I make mistake in my buying choices?

I dropped it about 30mins ago and while answering questions on here, it kept playing Marilyn Manson songs by itself at different speeds without me pressing any buttons and wouldn't stop when I pressed pause until I kept pressing it for ages. After that it has come on and off another three times but it plays music really sped up D: is it broken?

The volume slider just disappears and it shows that the song continues to play. I have tried different headphones, no headphones, a hard resart, and twice tried a software reset( once to local backup and once to factory settings). Anybody have any other ideas of what could be wrong?
