My Ears are slightly ringing three days after a concert?

Three days, and a few hours, I went to a concert that my friend dragged me into. Normally I bring earplugs, but since we passed the venue, she could not resist going.

The thing is, we were only there for about an hour and a half. After leaving, my left ear as been slightly ringing and it is only noticeable when the room is totally quiet. I don't have it when I'm outside, or if there's slight background noise. I know that this is called Tinnitus, and have been reading many posts on here that were written eight or so years ago.

I've noticed it getting better each day, and I can hear perfectly fine after taking a hearing test with my iPhone and an app. I plan to see a doctor too, but was wondering if anyone can offer any advice or reassurance that this will get better. I've been very depressed and angry the last few days because of it.

I never go out, ever. And this is what happened.

Great way to have hearing damage later in life

I'm a Doctor of Audiology and can tell you right now you have damaged your hearing, whether you have noticed that part yet or not. Sometimes with noise exposure you will get a temporary threshold shift, but at 3 days I doubt it. Ringing in the ears "tinnitus" is usually always a symptom of damage to the nerve fibers that transmit sound to your brain. Go see an audiologist and get your hearing checked. And wear noise protection and stay away from loud concerts from now on.

Update: I went on a long run, took vitamins, and it has almost faded to nothing. I'm going to continue thinking positively and not let this condition hold me back. It is fading, and will be gone.
