My Iphone 3 Screen won't come on?
I've just had a second hand Iphone 3 off my Dad as he now has an Iphone 4. I've tried turning it on and although it lights a little nothing appears on the screen, though it has been making noises and a voice has said something about voice commands. I've tried holding down the button on the top right but no change and it's also been charged for a few hours now. I've not yet put a SIM into it. The phone worked fine previously. Can someone please help me to get it working!

Hold down the power button for 3 seconds then without letting go of the power button hold down the home button and hold them both down for about 12 seconds then let go of the power button and keep on holding down the home button for 15 seconds.
- Why won't my iphone 4s screen come on? I dropped my iphone 4s in the toilet and right away i put the device in a bag of rice and now it works fine but the screen is all black… It looks just like it is off or locked, an the phone will ring and i can answer it but the screen dosent light up it just rings and i already know to slide like i would and i can hear perfect. - My iphone screen won't come on but i can still hear sound? So i got my iphone 4s wet and used that rice trick and when I turned it on I could hear noise and i can still use siri fine and when I get stuff on social media it rings but I can't see anything on the screen, it just stays black. Does anyone know what specific part I have to replace or is it not worth the trouble and should i just get a new phone?
