My iPhone 3G won't connect to Wi-Fi anymore?

Okay, so when i turn on my iPhone, it won't connect to my Wi-Fi. When i go into settings and into Wi-Fi settings, absolutely no connections/networks appear. I know its not my router/modem because my Laptop and all the computers and other phones can connect to our network, but my phone won't.
I have tried doing resets, both soft resets and hard resets, leaving the phone dead/turned off from hard reset for 2 days, and still no luck. What can i do to fix this problem?

I was given a hacked IPhone 3g by a very good friend (I travel a lot and am always switching SIMS and it was bought in France and mailed to me in the UK). The Wi-Fi on THAT stopped working pretty quickly. It may be an OS or a hardware problem… If yours has been "jailbroken" THAT may be the issue. Though it was one of the nicest gifts I ever got, it was enough to put me off iPhones forever (mainly because of the inability to change batteries… I only buy phones where I can change the batteries so I can travel on long trips with 6 fully charged batteries and avoid running around airports trying to charge my iphone and queue for a new ticket at the same time if my flight has been changed).

3Gs hold their value well. You could try and get rid of it as getting rid of it may make more sense than trying to get it repaired. The alternative, if you have the time and are techy enough is to hammer the internet where some people have been kind enough to tell you how to solve these problems.

Quite frankly idgaf about your Wi-Fi, I just came here to leave this comment.
Wow thanks @Conker, I really appreciate the compliment. I love getting those smart comments, because…

Thanks again @Conker

This seems the most reasonable.

  • Why won't my xbox 360 connect to the internet but will connect to my iphone hotspot? Ill play cod bo2 almost daily and my xbox will connect to my mobile hotspot on my iphone 4s fine, but out of no where it will lag out and disconnect me from xbox live, its not a hardware issue everything connects normally, full bars and everything the phone still lets me get on the internet, but my xbox will not, why D:?
  • Why won't my Wi-Fi connect anymore? It's been going solid for a while, but now it just doesn't want to connect. On my iPhone and laptop it says I have a decent connection, but it doesn't connect I've unplugged my router and Wi-Fi for a while, plugged it in again, nothing, and that usually does the trick What else do I do? I don't want to waste data on my phone anymore than I do
  • My Wi-Fi won't connect on my laptop but will connect to my other devices (an iPhone and iPad)? I have a MacBook Air. Sometimes it does connect but other times it just won't. It takes ages connecting and then in the end comes up with the exclamation mark or is just blank. Is this a problem with my laptop? I've tried researching the problem but have found nothing.
  • My iPhone don't connect to Wi-Fi anymore? I have dropped my iPhone sometimes, is that why? When I try to connect the circle to the left just spins and spins and never really connects, even though I've got the right password. It only finds the Ip and the Subnet Mask, but not the rest… Help me please?
