My Iphone 4 battery is draining quickly

Ok, so around this time last year i purchased an iphone 4. I've had no problems with it, but recently i've noticed that the battery life is draining really quickly, even if i don't use it. Are there any tips or tricks so that the battery can last longer? Do you think that the battery is damaged or broken? Please let me know what i should do to fix this.

Several things can be wrong. You could be using old firmware (make sure you updated the latest from iTunes). You might be using the Wi-Fi/4G too much or have your brightness up too high. Or in might in fact be a bad battery. If its still under warranty, it wouldn't hurt to check it out. I have a similar problem with an iPod touch and ended up getting a battery extender for 20+ hours extra.

When you are on your home screen, hit the "home" bitton twice (I'm not quite sure what it's called, but it's the one at the bottom center of your iPhone). Once you've hit it twice, the hold your finger on the first app that pops up. An "x" will show in the upper right hand corner of the app and if you "x out" of all these apps, then these apps won't suck your battery anymore. Don't worry. They won't be deleted. Hope this helps.
