My iphone 4 won't send or receive any type of message?

My iphone randomly stopped being able to send texts or imessages entirely. It can't receive them either. The message app is crashing alot. I've tried to delete all my messages to see if that would help and they all just reappeared. I've reset all settings. I've reset network settings. I've done a hard reset. I've done everything imaginable. For a little while yesterday it was working again. But it won't work anymore

Try turning it off and on. Believe it or not, it may help.

I think it's time to call the apple store.

  • Why won't my iphone send or receive texts? I have just bought an iPhone off my friend. I also have free texts. It sometimes says that I have signal and other times says that I don't have any. But whenever I try and send a text they won't send. I also don't receive any messages either. Does anybody know why this is happening?
  • Why won't my iPhone 4s send/receive MMS? I have an iPhone 4s and has 5.1.1 software. It is jailbroken, but it used to send/receive pictures before. I already tried restarting and turning on and off the MMS option. What else should I do? Do you think it has to do with it being jailbroken?
  • Why won't my 5c send a message as MMS when it's a long message to a non iPhone user? Whenever I type a LONG message to an SMS user (says Text Message in the messaging "box") my 5c won't convert to MMS and the recipient gets the message in dozens of out of order messages instead of the whole fluid message. I have MMS on in Settings. What can I do and why is it doing this?
  • Why can't I send/receive photos via text message on my iPhone? I have an iPhone 4S, which I bought unlocked and I use Straight Talk. I can't receive or send photos to contacts that don't have iPhones. Can anyone tell me why this is, and help me get it working?
