My iPhone 4s won't turn on or restore

Ok. So like an idiot I jail broke my phone! Just recently it turned on and turned back. Then it would stay on for about 5 minutes then shut back off and repeat. Now it won't even turn on. So I tried to restore my phone by connecting it to itunes, but still kept turning on and off. So then, I tried holding the power/sleep button and the home button; putting it in restore mode, but gives me an error message. I also tried doing that DFU mode or whatever, but it either isn't working or I'm doing it wrong. Either way I still need help. I'm freaking desperate and need to get my phone working As soon as possible!

Only thing I can really suggest is try looking on YouTube. Maybe someone else had the problem and found a way to fix it.
