My iPhone 4s won't come out of headphone mode
Functions like my alarm and ringer work just fine but when someone texts me or when i try to play music out loud it doesn't do anything, when i turn up or down the volume, it says that the headphones are still plugged in when there not.i've tried plugging and unplugging the headphoens meanly times and it will work for a second but then it will go back into headphone mode without even plugging the headphones in.
Lol you're ***. Just kidding. This could be one of two problems, a good one and a bad one, if you will. Best case scenario is its a software bug, and just requires a restore. Just go into iTunes and backup and restore. If that doesn't work then there's something wrong with the physical hardware sensor that detects the headphones. Look down the jack and make sure there isn't anything like caked on the side. If nothing then you should call apple and get a replacement, if it's under a year old (which it should be) you can get it replaced
- Somehow, a huge piece of the headphone jack got stuck in the headphone port, and I can't find any I think the headphone type is just a normal iPhone headphone. So ground, audio, mic and some of the plastic, or whatever it is, around it, got stuck in there, and it's not super deep, probably because it's almost the whole headphone jack, but it's still in there. Someone please help! I can't find anything! It's just the headphone jack tip that got stuck for everyone else! It's a laptop.

- Is my Iphone stuck in headphone mode or is it a broken earpiece? Just yesterday I got a pre-owned Iphone 4S. I was making a test call to make sure that I was connected to the service. I notice immediately that I could only hear the other end when either headphones were in or it was on speakerphone. When I'm not making calls I can hear the clicks of typing and turning the device on and off just fine. I was just wondering if my Iphone is stuck in headphone mode or not and if there's a way I can fix it.

I have tried blowing into it, sucking, putting the headphone in and out repeatedly and tried several different headphones, tried to change the volume using the headphones and it doesn't work.can't hear anyone when i call them unless on speaker and can't hear music etc?
