My iPhone got wet and won't turn on?

So last night i fell asleep with my phone charging on the table when i was watching a movie on the couch and my friend was sitting in the lounge chair and her feet were up on the table and without knowing it she accidentally knocked everything off the table including my phone and a cup of water that i had put on the table as well.
when it fell i didn't wake up because i'm a very heavy sleeper and so about an hour or so later i woke up at like 5:40 ish in the morning and tried to check my phone and went to pick it up from the floor but found it SOAKED in the water from the glass cup and also my phone is really cracked and so i woke my friend up and was crying and she got some rice and put it in a bowl and put my phone in there as well. Will this work to get my phone back to life!
Also, she only had instant rice…
IS THIS GOING TO WORK?
I'm so so so so so so sadddd ughh life.

No it only works with phones that have a removable backing and if it was sitting there for hours your phone aint coming back to life hun

It's done. Have fun paying $250 for a replacement since you probably opted to not get AppleCare+.

I'm really sorry to say this, but that only works with removable back covers hun, so no it probably will not work. Your best bet would be to take it to a phone repair shop and get them to take a look at your phone and they may be able to fix it up, Apart from that there's nothing else you can really do. Sorry.

  • My iphone got wet, won't turn on On friday my waterbottle leaked onto my phone in my bag. 2 hours later, i noticed something very hot in my bag and it was my fone! I immediately tried to turn it on but it did nothing except the flash was on. About a half an hour later, i placed it in rice where it has been all weekend. I occasionally took it out and tried to turn it on this weekend but all that happned was the flash turned on. I have it charging now but it still won't turn on! Please tell me how to fix this!

It was raining and I was out and my iPhone was in my pocket, I don't even know how it got wet or it could of been a puddle that splashed but now when I play music, phone rings or text alert its very quiet and muffled and crackly or sometimes I can hardly hear anything at all. My phone was next to my drink yesterday and the drink spilt a bit, the screen is completely dark but the actual phone still works, I tried putting it under a hair dryer and also tried putting it in rice for 24 hours, is there any other way I can make it work again?
