My iphone keeps sending texts instead of ichat messages?
I know the people I'm messaging have an iphone so it should be going through. Just wondering how to fix that!
Do you mean imessage? Because when you have an iphone both imessage and "regular text messages" are combined together. Others who have iphones can text you through imessage by typing your cell phone number. If you want to text someone who doesn't have an iphone/ imessage, just type in their number in imessage - i think. Or tell them to text you first (using your cell number)
- Why is my new iPhone sending iMessages from my e-mail instead of my number? I got a new iPhone for Christmas and when I tried sending a message to my friend, she said it came up as my e-mail. My number is selected but when I unselect the e-mail, I can't send messages.
- Why is my iPhone5 sending some messages as iMessage and others as Text Messages? I understand that messages are sent as Text Messages when there's no signal or poor Wi-Fi connection. However, I'm successfully texting some people using iMessage but others (still iPhone users) as Text messages. The other person will send iMessages and then my responses will be sent as green Text Messages.
