Okay i was having the same problem!
So go to your settings and click on notifications.
After that, scroll down to the things that are "Not in Notification Center" and click on one that you want to notify you. Swipe the top bar from Off to On and edit if you want.
Keep repeating for everything you want notifications for!

I'm having the same issue, but only with facebook. Texts and phone calls work, this started with the update to iOS 6
- Why does my iphone screen not light up or make any sound when i get a text? So my iPhone 5 will ring when someone is calling me and when I put an alarm on. But whenever I have a text come in the screen does not light up and it does not make its usual sound either. I don't know why its doing it! It started a couple of days ago. I've made sure the ringer is on every time and its turned up on full! If anyone has a clue that'd be great!
- Why am i not getting any notifications? I'm not getting notifications on my iPhone and I don't know why? My notification center is turned on but I still don't get the notification from kik or snapchat. But when I open snapchat up and refresh it I have snapchats from hours ago. Same with kik, when I open it, I have kik messages from different people that I never got a notification for.

- My iPhone 6 camera making weird sound? My iPhone 6 camera is making a weird sound. When the camera focus your hear a clicking sound. I tried with my sister's iPhone 6 but its not doing it. Does anyone have this problem? Is it normal?
