My kindle fire shows message connected to low power charger. What should I do?

My kindle fire is taking longer than usual to get fully charged. I have a message that reads "connected to low power charger". I never use my computer to charge it for that same reason. I have always used my iphone power adapter to charge it. I don't think their is nothing wrong with the adapter since it works fine with my phone. I tried plugging it in different outlets and it's all the same result. Any ideas of what I can do to work this out? Maybe I should try a different adapter or cord?

Mine does that when I plug it into the USB (Aux) socket in my car.

Its an iPhone charger. That explains everything.

iPhone charger is for iPhone. Not for a Tablet. Use any kind of tablet charger instead. They require more power as they have bigger battery support!
