My laptop will connect to public Wi-Fi but won't get internet?

I have a sony vaoi running windows 7. Now at home my Wi-Fi connection is perfect, but when I'm at a public place, best western at the moment, i can connect to the public Wi-Fi but when i open my browser (google chrome) it won't come up with the webpage where you have to accept the best western terms and agreements. So it won't access the internet at all. I also tried it with internet explorer to no avail. My iPhone however will pull up the authentication webpage no problem, allowing me to access full internet so i'm pretty sure its something to do with my computer. Thanks in advance!

Added (1). I also tried restarting my laptop. Didn't work.

Try restarting the computer or reconnecting the Wi-Fi. You could also try to set up a Wi-Fi host thru your iPhone to your laptop as a last resort.

Go to connection manager and make new connection change the ip settings to auto obtain the ip
