People who complain about the internet are so annoying?

Once there was this old lady at a church and she was 50 and complaining about how stupid
iphones, facebook, and laptops were! LOL! What do you think?

I imagine her grandmother saying how stupid telephones, or radios are.

Yes they are annoying indeed

Firstly, that a 50-year-old woman is not an 'old lady'.

Secondly, that from her point of view it is a valid argument. I'm 41 and grew up without these gadgets and I daresay that I had much more face-to-face contact with my friends in my youth than you do.

Thirdly, that people today are far to dependent on modern technology, and that diminishes social skills.

Fourthly, that I do see some of the benefits this tech gives us, especially when it makes work easier, but I'd rather visit with a friend than text for hours.

They are annoying but you've got to see it from their perspective. Like, that old lady didn't grow up with all this technology and now she's seeing kids and teenagers glued to their phones and laptops and everything else technology wise. She's just annoyed and complaining because she's not used to any of this and feels left out in a way that she doesn't know.

I sometimes think I should be a psychiatrist but then I realise that I don't like listening to people's problems and people don't understand me when I try to explain stuff.

As much as I love the internet and would hate to live in a world with no internet, I do see her point. You go to a social setting and everyone is on their phone. Beautiful day outside and people don't look up at their surroundings instead their stupid phones. No one enjoys the beautiful things anymore because they're just so busy with their facebook or instagrams. So yes, I see her point and I agree with it, to an extent.

My thoughts:

50 isn't old.
Constant complainers are annoying regardless of what they're bytching about.

It's because she can't use it so she gets angry when she sees that other people can use it but she can't. My history teacher is 60 and can use technology pretty well so he never complains about it while my friends grandma can't even hold an Ipod the right way so she thinks that it's stupid

I don't think anything about it, because I don't care if an old woman or man hates or loves tech, or if a young man or woman loves or hates tech.
