Personal hotspot won't show up?
So I got a new iPhone last week, and I don't know why, my personal hotspot won't show up on my laptop.
I tested the hotspot the day I got my iPhone, and it was working all fine on my computer. A few days later, it was not showing up on my laptop's available networks anymore.
My network career is T-Mobile. My data plan has unlimited network connection, but only 3GB of hotspot. I was wondering if I "casually" wasted the 3GB of hotspot, it could be the reason it won't show up anymore, maybe until I pay my bill again?
However, if that could be possible, i'm sure that wouldn't be my reason because I used the hotspot just one day for a few minutes. I couldn't have used 3GB that fast.
Also, I have an Acer Aspire 5532 (in case you want to know)
My iPhone hotspot doesn't show up all the time, either. Even if you use all of your monthly data, T-Mobile will still provide service, even through your hotspot. They charge I think around $15 per GB you go above your plan.
Usually whenever it doesn't show up for me I try just turning it off and on. Sometimes it takes longer for it to appear on my laptop, too. You could also try connecting your phone via USB and then enabling your hostpot. That always works for me.

- Will I be able to use my mobile as a personal hotspot? I'm with optus and have unlimited internet… Just wondering if personal hotspot will work on my iphone? Its not coming up on my phone it's just saying carrier, bluetooth etcetera. Please only people from australia. ps I only just set up my prepaid plan but its working fine on my phone?
- What additional cost may occur from making my iphone a personal hotspot? I turned on the personal hotspot option in settings on my iphone but it says additional costs may occur. Does that mean it costs money for me to connect my other devices or just if i exceed the amount of 3g i'm paying for.
- Is the personal hotspot option on the iphone safe? I just learned i can use my iphone as a hotpot and i freaked out! Apparently you go settings, general, network, the it says personal hotspot! So is it safe? More importantly does it cost a lot or free?
- Iphone won't show all the albums under an artist and won't show one artist at all? When I go to artists on my music on iphone it doesn't show all the albums under an artist, also an artist isn't even showing up there. When I go to songs and albums I can see everything, just confused and would like to fix it so it shows under album.
