Piano recording in Audacity? For a song cover?

I'm going to play an instrumental cover with a Casio keyboard.
I'm planning to record it using an iPad Mini/iPhone.

So here's the problem:
If I'm going to record it, there's going to be a background noise. And the piano recording is not "pure."
I want to erase the background noise and make the keyboard recording(the tone is piano) pure. Just like a grand piano. I want to make it sound like I recorded it in some studio using Audacity.

Thank you very much! Your answer would be a lot of help! Xx

If you have an earphone jack, record off that. You can plug it right into a computer with a line in jack, and use Audacity. Set the levels, and you're good to go. You will get only the piano sound. Don't add any effects like reverb, cuz you can do that in the final mix.

I dunno how to do that with an iAnything but you need a line level audio input that you can record, and stereo will sound better. If it's mono you can use chorus, panning and reverb in the mixing to give it some space.

  • Why does my cat bite me when I play the cat piano app? I like to play the Cat Piano app on my iPhone to mess with my cats. When they find the source of the noise, they bite me. I'm just curious, why do they bite me?
  • Where can I get some good piano tutorials? I'm using my iPhone so I need something that I can use on mobile. Some YouTube ones are Good but the songs I want either aren't on there or require a download. I want a website that has a lot of tutorials for new songs to play on the piano that's compatible with an iPhone and doesn't require downloading (or at least something I can download to my phone without screwing it up) :) thanks.
  • When you download a song from itunes which cover art goes with it? I never downloaded music from itunes before and i just got my iphone i was wondering does the song you download come with the album art or song art made specifically for that song?
  • What's the piano song in this video I can't figure it out? - 1 the song starts at 1:59 and i can't figure out what the name of it is. I have heard it before in a commercial or something and I know for a fact that its not the iPhone commercial song.
