Problem with sprint CDMA Iphone 4?
I have a sprint iPhone 4 CDMA (No sim card slot) that was gifted to me by my dad. He got it front a friend that is no deceased. The problem I'm having is there's still service on the phone like I can call and text people. My dads friend had an unpaid bill of like $500 if thats gonna cause any problems. How do I completely wipe the phone of cell service so I can use it?
If you don't pay the money owed they will blacklist the phone, meaning they will block the esn (imei).
Contact the service provider and request a cancellation. They may ask you to pay the bill though.
That phone is still attached to the deceased person's account. If it acquires too high of a past due balance, the phone will eventually be disconnected, and you will not be able to put that phone on any other account or line of service until the bill has been paid. You will still be able to use the data services over Wi-Fi. There's nothing you can do to the phone to overcome this.
