Problem with the YouTube iPhone app?

When I go on the YouTube app which I have installed on my iPhone 5 the videos take ages to buffer and then every 5-10 seconds will pause itself and then start buffering again. It takes me about 15 minutes just to watch a 5 minute video. It's not my phone as it did it on my old one too (iPhone 4) and it's not my Internet because I have a good, fast connection, downloads onto my phone, safari and all other apps all work well and connect really fast, just not YouTube. Does anyone know any way to fix this problem? It is extremely annoying.

Make sure your internet has a strong connection. Or if there are a lot of other devices connected to your wlan they will slow the internet down.

Change DNS server Some users have found that using an alternate DNS server can alleviate the slowness. Try changing your systems's DNS servers to those offered by OpenDNS. To do so,

> Tap Wi-Fi on the left-hand side
> Tap the blue arrow next to your current Wi-Fi network
> Tap the "DNS" field and enter the following: 208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220
> Exit Settings

2. Wi-Fi Fixes.

> Switch DHCP to manual

> Tap Settings, then go to the Wi-Fi section. Tap the blue, right-facing arrow next to the Wi-Fi network to which you are currently connected, then tap DHCP. In the HTTP Proxy section, select "Manual." You don't need to enter any additional information.

> Exit Settings, then check for alleviation of Wi-Fi issues. You may need to restart your router after making this change.

> Change security and channel. Changing two key settings can dramatically reduce the number of drops with these routers or eliminate the drops altogether. Follow these steps:

1. Login to your router's configuration page by opening a browser window and entering the address 192.168.1.1 (you may need to enter the username: admin and password: password1)
2. Change the channel from automatic to 6
3. Change the security setting from WEP to WPA
4. Apply the changes, which will cause your router to reset
5. Turn your iPhone off then back on

  • Problems with YouTube iPhone app? When I'm trying to watch a video on YouTube the video stops after 9 seconds but the sound still works, even if it has buffered fully. If anyone can help I'll be very thankful! Also it only seems to happen on my iPhone 3GS, my dad has an iPhone 4 and it works and it works on my moms iPad.

But when I enter my username and password into my YouTube app it say "authentication failed" username or password was incorrect" but when I do it on the actual YouTube website or works.
