Putting music on iPhone 5

So i just got the iPhone 5 today and my question is how do I put my music and apps on it? Is there a way i can do it from my iPhone rather than plugging it into my laptop? I have the 32g if that makes any difference.

Buy them on your phone on itunes.

You connect to the Wi-Fi and purchase it using the iTunes app already downloaded on the iPhone.it'll automatically download after you purchase it. If you have iCloud set up it should push it to the laptop automatically

Well if you you go on your iPhone in to the iTunes app and the app store their is purchased sections in both just select the song you want and download. If you don't own any just search and buy some. If you plug it into your laptop you need iTunes

Any purchasing can be done via the iTunes store or the App Store. Any purchases you make will be added to the Cloud. In terms of syncing, the initial sync has to be done via cable to your computer. After selecting "Sync Apps" and "Sync Music", sync the device. Then go and check "Connect to this iPod via Wi-Fi" on the main screen. You'll be able to sync OTA (over the air).

No not really.unless you have an icloud account

"how do I put my music and apps on it?"

You can plug it into your computer and use iTunes software. BTW, iTunes will accept music from any number of sources. I still see questions posted by owners who think that they have to buy their music from iTunes. You can legally rip music from CD's (anybody's - even friends' or from the library) or somewhat less legally swap music from friends computers using a flash drive.

Many less-than-reasonably tech savvy people try to copy from friends' computers using their iPods - not a good idea. Because Apple sells both iPods and the media that goes on them, they wanted to do what was reasonably and legally possible to tie each iPod to the fewest number of computers. You'd save yourself a lot of trouble if you copy the music to your own computer and import to your iPhone from their.

Sure, however, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, any data going over your cellular network (3G, LTE, what have you) goes towards your monthly allowance. You can also use your Wi-Fi, but unless you've got access to Wi-Fi hotspots often throughout the day, you'll end up using your home router, and might as well use your laptop.

Next - and this mostly aimed for music downloading - downloading directly to an iPod or iPhone isn't a very good idea. The reason is that it's much easier to copy music from your computer (or a non-Apple branded product) than it is from your iPhone. Purchases made on iTunes Store can be transferred to an authorized computer using iTunes, but obviously music downloaded directly to your iPhone from other sources won't have that access. If your iPhone fails or needs to be restored, you could end up losing all that music.

  • Will putting 2 screen protectors on my iphone work? I've smashed my iphone alot but it still works would i be able to tap the screen and would it work if i had 2 screen protectors?
  • Will my iphone work with just putting in a SIM card? My old phone was turning off all the time and my mom had an old iphone 3 that she doesn't use anymore. I took her iphone and put my SIM card into it. I then plugged it into the computer and registered it with itunes. Will this charge my AT&T bill? I don't want to pay for data yet? I didn't activate it through AT&T, but now I'm kind of worried it will. Will the phone work okay without calling AT&T to activate it?
  • Putting my Sim card from an iPhone into a different iPhone? I'm an AT&T Carrier. I already have an iPhone 4 data plan that I'm paying on. Recently my phone has stopped working and until I can get a new one shipped my friend has offered for me to put my sim card into her old iPhone 4. Will AT&T charge me if I do this?
  • Putting my old iPhone SIM card into new iPhone? I have a backup iPhone at home. Thought I lost it, got a new one - it was later returned to me. So I keep it as a backup. My current phone can't charge because I just dropped it in gravy and it *** it up. Can I put this phones SIM card into my other iPhone and have my service transferred or do I have to take it into the store?
