Recoding Church service, what type of mic do I need?

We've been recording our church services through the mixer using Audacity, we had planned on switching to GarageBand but our mixer is literally a dinosaur, and has issues all the time. I think it would be best for now to use an external microphone hooked up to an IPad or IPhone running Rode Rec.

Here are the issues, I can't just put the mic on the podium because we have several musical instrument that can only be heard through the speakers and we would like to include music in the recording… Also I would like to use a mic that has a 1/8 inch jack… I would prefer a Rode mic due to budget.

We do have speakers so it should be picked up from anywhere in the room, the room is a total of 50ft or so.

Basically my question is what type of Rode mic will have little or no noise but will pick up the sound coming from our church's speakers from the back of the room?

Added (3). BUDGET IS LESS THAN $300

Added (4). The mixer will end up ruining the Audacity or GarageBand recordings…

Recording from the back of the room will result in echoed, boomy recordings, and you most likely will not be able to understand vocals.
Why not just put the mic in front of one of the speakers.
Garage Band and Audacity are recording programs and will have no effect on the mixer.

You really should try to record the services through the mixer as you have been doing - you will get the best sound that way. Some churches (including mine) setup an "ambient" mic in addition to the mix from the board so that the recording includes the congregation singing and other un-mic'ed instruments. The ambient mic is usually an omnidirectional one and is usually placed up high over the congregation and the sound from that is mixed with the sound from the mixer. That mic's sound would NOT be routed to the main speakers - it is routed to the recording only.
