Roku vs Apple TV which is better for $$?
I currently have a mac, iphone and ipad. So i orginally thought i should get the apple tv.burt if the roku does the same thing and is cheaper should i just go with that? Can i stream/mirror from my computer (like websites etc) from my mac to either of them(i know i can with iphone and ipad)? Pros and cons of both please!
I personally have a roku device and I love it. My dad used to have an apple tv, and while he did get good use out of it, he did overpay. The main benefit to apple tv is that you can access files, which is good if you download alot of movies, but other than that roku is just as good.
Apple TV, since you already have a Mac & iPhone.
I would go with Apple tv since ypou have an ipad and iphone that way you can also stream stuff from your iphone/ipad on your tv.weather your watching nexflix, playing a game, or using some other app. In my experience though I would get a Playstation 3 cause not only can you stream apps and like the roku player or apple tv they have more apps then either device, you can also play blueray movies, transfer video or music files over using a flash drive and play them, stream from your computer, download movies and games to the console, watch NFL Sunday Ticket (Which I don't use cause i'm not into football.), play Playstation 3 games, an more. That is the best for your money. In my opinion the roku and apple tv is a waste of money and you only get those if you don't have a blueray play with apps to stream stuff or a smart tv to stream stuff or a Playstation 3 to do the same.
Don't get apple tv. It is garbage. Get Roku 3 instead.

Roku is a better box for everyone except for people who have other iDevices.
