Selling Custom built computers?

Is there profit in selling custom built computers?
I used pcpartpicker.com to get an overview of how much I would spend and it ended up being much more than I expected for a decent computer with an i5-3330 and 6GB RAM.
It cost around 600 and I expect if I was to sell a computer for gaming, it would end up being much more expensive.
I used to earn money by refurbishing and reselling iPhones but that has lost its profit margin.
If selling custom computers is not profitable either, any other tips or suggestions on making money off of my interest in working with electronics?
I would prefer the answer of someone with actual experience.

Get yourself qualified in computer and network support. The only way. Looking at the prices from partpicker, I can get equivalent or better machines ready built by my wholesaler for less than that, including delivery to site and a 2 year collect and deliver warranty.

Not really any more, unlike a few years back. People have realized its cheaper and funner to do it themselves, plus with all the guides and videos on YouTube anyone can do it very easily.

Better get a vendors license first

  • Which is better: selling on amazon or selling on ebay? I have an individual seller account and I've noticed that my products sell much faster or ebay. However, I sold two iphones. My final sale fee $1100. However, ebay charged me a final sale fee of $135 Then I was charged $40 by paypal Then I paid $60 total to ship both items. On my amazon account I sold 1 phone. The phone cost $180 Amazon took out $30 Shipping cost $10 So I made $140
  • What iphone cases have a built in screen protector? I'm looking for a new case for my iphone 4s i want it to have a built in screen protector. I currently use the otterbox defender but its just too bulky.
  • What are some good dual layer IPhone 5s cases WITH NO BUILT IN SCREEN PROTECTOR? I have an Iphone 5s with a professionally installed Zagg Invisishield. I'm looking for a good protective dual-layer case (i.e. Rubber layer and plastic layer) but I don't want a case with a built in screen protector like Otter Box and Lifeproof cases have. I know I could just take the built in protectors off but I would like to stay away from that. Any suggestions?
  • Is there an iPhone calculator app with a built in add tax button? On my iPad i have an app called calculator HD -prettycalc that has a button where I can add tax to an any total I compute or put in via one button press (able to set the tax rate in the settings). I find this much easier than multiplying any total by my tax rate and then trying to remember the total to add it back on to.So, does anyone know of a iPhone calculator app that has this?
